Bob Nowalk is an artist/teacher, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Dayton (1975) and a Master of Fine Arts from Michigan State University (1990). Currently serving as a Master Instructor in the Visual Arts at Culver Academies, Nowalk assumed oversight of Culver’s Art Collection in 1999, and was named Art Collection Curator in 2010. Nowalk’s personal and professional interest in the Visual Arts assumed greater attention in 2012 with the opening of the Crisp Visual Art Center, where he plans and installs a variety of exhibitions each year. Named a Ralph N. Manuel Award winner in 2016 and a Patton Fellow in 2018, Nowalk continues to promote authentic encounters through inquiry based learning in the Visual Arts.
